Who we are

This website (about-os.ca) is a patient education initiative based in British Columbia, Canada. It provides information about opportunistic salpingectomy (OS) as a strategy for ovarian cancer prevention. The initiative is informed by BC Cancer and the OVCARE research program.

What information we collect

This is an informational website. We do not operate user accounts, collect form submissions, or run e-commerce transactions.

The only data that may be collected is standard server-side information generated automatically when you visit any website, including:

  • Referring URL
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Date and time of your visit

This information is collected by our web hosting provider and is used solely for the purpose of maintaining server security and diagnosing technical issues. It is not used to identify individual visitors.

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous data about how visitors interact with the site. This helps us understand which content is most useful and improve the experience over time.
